And just like that - we have a new favourite trail for off-road scooters! There are two MTB trails in Slieve Bloom Mountains - One that starts in Kinnitty, other in Baunreagh. Lets talk about Baunreagh first as this is where I started. Baunreagh is a 6km loop which took me about 50 mins to complete. Initial reaction was - this is the best and most fun trail I’ve been so far. Nice surface for small wheels (yes, there are still occasional stony surfaces), snaky like bend turns, lovely views and some cliff like riding made it so much fun. After a short lunch, Kinnitty was next. Kinnitty is a 14.5km trail loop. You can start from the city or start midway (given that its a loop, I was fine as I did not need to drive scoot through the city ). Loop started well, some flat roads, but after about 2km I went into MTB track and it was amazing. Super smooth road for tiny scoot wheels made it pure joy to ride. Real fun started when I came across below sign! Turns out there is an advance portion of the trail which is the most freaking amazing trail by far for an off-road scoot! Smooth road, outstanding views, sharp bendy turns, driving on the cliff, uphill serpentine like roads and much more. Impossible to describe how fun this was, be sure to try it out, you wont be disappointed - its like this was built for scoots! Summary: Suitable scooter: off-road only Views: 10 /10 Fun: 10 /10 Length: 6-14.5 km
